    308 target projectiles

I've just turned a pile of parts from my various stashes into a heavy barrell 308.

So what is "the projectile" that the NRA/F Class/ target shooters are using these days. . . . It used to be the HB 155s but they are gone burgers, something else must have gained a bit of traction by now?

Anywhere from 155- 208gr. Bergers or Hornady
Mate shoots FTR and was using 155 gr Bergers, 185gr Bergers and 208gr ELDM
He has a shitload of the 208s (3000) that he was going to move on and also a 1000 Berger 185 VLD Hunting after he was sent a wrong type from the states.

From what I heard from an FTR shooter last week when they were all yapping about this topic, an 11 twist will handle most heavies. From experience, a 13 twist is plenty for 155s.

Or be like a mate who acquired a 300 with mag with a 1-13 barrel.
Didn't realize it at the time after shit tons of bullets and powder wondering why the close to 200gr pills wouldn't shoot ok.
Checked the twist rate and looked it up and yeah it was set up for the Palma match weight.
His Sako 1-11 shoots real well with what ever he puts in it and I think that's the twist rate for every 30 cal including magnums that Sako make

    GPM,
Hmmmm. Interesting question, the barrel is one made by Hugh Bradley (known by many through his association with Stager Sports, and the manufacture of Bradley 22 rifles) and it looks very nice in the borescope, the finish is comparable with a Krieger. The twist rate is 1:10 or a smidge faster.
