Ran 130ttsx out of 22inch 308 for quite a while and claimed many deer sub 350y with it.
In my experience the barnes need fairly high impact speeds to work well (light for cal going like f) and will kill at med/longer ranges but delayed kills are a reality as they just turn into a super apple corer at lower speeds and dont transfer any shock...hence i wouldnt recomend any heavier than 130gr from 308win...even 110g.
I have shot all manner of big red stags red/wap crosses from all angles and have still never recovered a 130gr barnes...extra weight is wasted...it is not a long rage pill so forget about bc. Velocity and energy/shock is how these work.
Cheers mate much appreciated. This is just a roar bush rig, couple hundy max and for popping fallow and reds around here. Ill run the 130. bloody awesome thanks mate
