Trail Boss is the easiest powder to load subsonic, With cast bullets 8.5 grains gets you in the ball park with jacketed you need a little more try 12.00 grains
be careful getting a jacketed bullet stuck it is a major problem and requires a trip to a Gunsmith,
Use standard primers magnums are no use and may cause pressure problems and don't drill out flash holes causes pressure problems just neck size cases
and treat them as normal,
Hogdgons formula for working out a start load for Trail Boss is to fill the case to the base of the neck with powder the start load is 70% of this,
Do not compress Trail Boss or use fillers to fill the case accuracy will go away big time, and don't worry about high B.C bullets it means nothing at subsonic
velocity, think of it as a big .22RF trajectory is about the same just with more knock down,
Good luck
