    338-284win

Anyone got one or had one?
Thinking about one for something different. A bit more grunt than a 338 federal.
Built in on my R93, 18" barrel, supressor, 210ttsx @2800?

Cant comment on that caliber in particular but have had a 30-284 built threw Terminator products.
Interweb performance puts it around 3006 but developed loads well out perform factory3006 data tho Im sure the dirty old 6 could be loaded to match.
Im no doubt a touch hamstrung by the action length with heavy for caliber bullets(and hence loaded round length because of my doner action) but am very happy with its performance.
"Hunting and fishing" fucking over licenced firearms owners since ages ago.

I could be wrong in assuming this but I don't think you would get 2800 with a 210gr projectile, if memory serves me I think the average velocity for a 175 -180 grain projectile in a 284 is 2600-2800, I can't see how you could get a larger projectile going faster from the same case capacity. 2800 for a 210 TTSX would require a decent amount of powder to shunt it down the barrel.

With the right powder choice I think 2800fps would be possible with the 210 TTSX, but not in a barrel as short as 18"
