Im just running 2225 in rem brass and its holding up good at about 2880 fps.
2225 is probably the pick at the moment for velocity.
N570 is very good but can be $$$ & hard to get from time to time.
RL33 will give the best/incredible velocity but is extremely thin on the ground at the moment.
I still have 3lbs for testing & there probably won't be any in the country this year, most likely early next year...
Considering it was supposed to be here early this year, when it actually shows up is any ones guess.....
I prefer RP brass.
You only need a 26" barrel to get approx 2800 fps with 2225, keeps them light & compact

Thanks Greg how do you find the vhitavouri for
Temp sensitivity? And is there much gained over 2225?
Temp is ok, can do funny things in extreme cold, not generally a problem here.
I don't think there is enough gain over 2225 for the cost involved.
RL33 absolutely spanks it in the cases I have compared them in.

KG Built me a .338 Norma Magnum I have been extremely impressed at 26" tube and I can mag feed as opposed to single feed the edge
KG can you divulge the stats on that rifle? im in france currently and cannot access details etc
Addicted to gun powder
Who said need to single shot a edge? Can't mag feed 4inch and over on rem easy as 150 back mod

Sorry may have got that wrong im not a pro as you know but a more a trigger happy hick, from what I read and online crap seating depth was a hassle if right out for mag feeding, so to buy myself some extra space (room for error) I figured the performance wasn't that much different compared to the practicality for me personally
bit of info on the round
