I thought they were suspending all development and some bullets production to keep up with demand of the most popular projectiles.

    Something smells funny.

The BC is fairly average but the speed of the 285 might get it closer to the 300 Berger

Yep, it just doesn't smell right to go from"we are that bloody busy tryin to meet demand we are stopping all development and production of all less popular projectiles to satisfy the bulk of demand"

To "hey look at this we made a 338 amax"

    Yea about time but WTF!???

Did they ever say they were stopping development? I thought they just weren't doing as many production runs of the less popular stuff due to the time it takes to swap the production lines over in between runs.

338 might be on a different productine line altogether for all we know - you could always email them and ask!

Hornady was suspending their less popular product till January 2014 if I remember well. That means in 3 months time they will be on full run of most stuff...

Smell maybe funny, but funny GOOD, not bad ! The 300gr Berger is working fine in my 338 FX but i will be soooo keen to try them.
Ive seen enough deer shot with rabbit guns "7mm mags, 162gr a-max" to know they should be the cats pissflaps at making HOLES.
Im waiting for Steve Collings to reply to my e-mail
