    .356 jacketed RN in .38/357

Well, seeing as my wonderful government will be taking my 9mms off me soon, and having a decent pile of Rusa's 124gr jacketed RN, I was wondering whether it would work loading my 38sp cases with them for plinking. Being .356 instead of .358 I know they probably won't be as accurate, but it's just a short lever action that will be shot to 50m max anyway. Anyone ever done this? And no I haven't slugged the bore on the Rossi yet either

That's knocking 2 thou off using a push through, it won't add 2 thou though

.38/357 mag barrels are .357" so it is only .001" under, the .358" is for lead bullets you will be ok the jacket will grab the rifling at low velocity
you will get a little gas bypass but that does not matter with copper jackets.
