    Post 44 magnum rifle for deer

    Hi All
    Now that my mate got himself a 44 mag rossi lever action im thinking to have a crack at hunting some deer with my 44 mag rossi lever gun too since i missed a fallow yesterday with my 308 .
    I do reload but i dont have powder or dies etc yet for 44 mag, but if i get into it i might just buy all the stuff to load for it.

    What ammo, loads do people use for hunting deer, mainly reds but sika/fallow could be on the cards.

    What sort of ranges do you shoot deer at? form what i can see from googlefu is 240gr is the ducks nuts and it maxes out around 120-130 yards
