Thread: 45-70 brass

Hi Guys, I know I`m still building the rifle, but anyone know where to get 45-70 brass for a good price?, I got 10 cases for $2 per case, OUCH. All so some .458"x 405gr lead bullets , just lining up suppliers, Thanks, Homebrew.357.

Hayes and associates have the cases for $1.50 each. I got some 405g lead proj for $15 for 50. So 30 cents each on trade me.
I know of another who sells them and the 500g proj for a little bit more.
I brought some hornady factory rounds to get me started and will reload the cases from there with trail boss and 405 and 500g proj.
Trade me seems to have some reasonable prices for the projectiles.

Jacketed proj retail for about 65 cents each.

What type of action are you building on

Keep looking you'll pick it up, I bought my first few for $2.00 off Hayes then pick up a box of 100 for $70 off tard me? Just bought a rifle that included another 30 so it happens! I have a .457 mould and make my own projectiles!
