    .45 acp vihtavuori n320

Does anyone here have any experience or suggestions for a sub sonic load using vihtavuori n320?

I have a JRC .45 and without a chrony, I suspect its going a bit fast.

Id be keen as to shoot a few through a chrony if there is anyone around north auckland who is keen?
    Cheers, dave.

haha, Iv heard its the worst!
210 gn cast, Iv started with a lyman load. but want to check the speed.

I brought the 320 accidentally at an auction..... Was meant to bid on the next lot of black powder, but fucked up! was a good deal though.

All good if ya want to sell it, hit me up

I used to load 5.2 grn behind a 200 grn bullet to reach 860fps in my pistol.

You can increase or decrease pressure/velocity a lot in a pistol cartridge just by seating.
Longer slower, shorter faster for the same powder load.

Barrel length of your rifle will speed that up a bit but should still be subsonic.
I think book max for 320 and 230grn is 5.4

    No I don't sorry. I couldn't afford that much 320 at once
    Always used 500grm bottles.
And I toss them when finished.

I use Hogden titegroup now because Vit powder is too expensive for the amount of ammo I chew thru.

It is going just as good as 320 so far.
I use less per load to reach PF as well

    AP30/50 certainly

As a aside, I have a n320 4kg container, but it's not empty, not even looking like getting empty in the foreseeable future...

Reloaders used to sell 320 years ago in milk bottles with an adhesive paper label that often fell off after a year or so. Yours could be some of that.
