Thread: 45LC

Hi,
Wondering if anyone hear reloads 45 LC with blackpowder or alternative BP for cowboy action shooting.

Would be vary interested to speek more with you and lurning a bit about it.

A friend shoots it in his Vaquero and Puma. I had a Puma in 45LC a while back and I found it quite accurate with >250gn projectiles. Quite dirty though (pays to wear glasses, we tried his new Puma with factory cowboy rounds and both got sandblasted back through the action (that rifle was replaced shortly after)). I hear it has something to do with the brass being quite thick compared to 44-40 so needs a good charge to get good expansion.

I'd recommend Trailboss. Been great with all sorts of cast bullets I conjure up, even in 308 and 45-70.
