    50 meter zero

    A question for you ballistic guru's
    Was at Taupo range yesterday and being wet an miserable I could only use the 50mtr sheltered range to sight in my new tikka 708
    Now I know 50 isn't the best for sighting in,but its all I had,
    I'm using factory 139gr SST and was punting them roughly 1/4in high,
    So where would they be going at 100,200,300?
    Sorry for the novice questions guys

    @rookiesniper

    you can work it out yourself, here's how

    go to jbmballistics.com
    trajectory calc
    select the Hornady 284 139 SST from the library dropdown
    set zero height to 0.25
    set zero range to 50
    set max range to 300
    set range increment to 100

    to make it accurate, you will need to know the muzzle velocity and enter that, you can sometimes get a ballpark idea on the ammo box or manufacturers website, or ask on here, someone might know.
