45-70 and casting your own go together like Lasagne and Garfield. 458s are great for paper patching too, you can patch 45LCs without having to use custom made molds or sizers.

@Maca49 know about this big arsed stuff.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Shoot 500grain pure lead projectiles with 63 grains FFG black powder, you will find a good smokeless load some where, if you FPS get up you'll need harder lead and gas checks to stop erosion of the projectile base, my projectiles are protected with cardboard wads, but using BP

Thankfully it comes with a cast for one size of projectile but I'm guessing it will be around 325gr
Iv been looking at trailboss loads to try and the seller has some data to pass on

I'm guessing paper patching is a wad wrapped around the projectile so it can be of a smaller size and still seal?
    Like on a musket?

Paper patching is using onion paper carefully wrapped around the projectile, to the correct circumference to ensure even wrap and then knot by twisting at the base of the projectile, the paper is wetted first and it tightens as it drys, so it doesn't come off. Onion paper can be substituted with dress makers pattern paper, buy them from an op shop. Rember using BP no air gaps in the shell! Using smokeless use a filler to hold the powder on the primer.

Worth looking at AR2206H for a smokeless load, you will only get a subsonic load out of Trailboss with that weight.

45ACP and 45LC diameter are around .452, for the 45-70 you'll need somthing close to .458 etc unless you want to paper patch them up.

the bottom left is a patched 230 45 ACP, the one behind it is a .458 around the 460 grain mark.

The .457x420 they list could be worth considering.
