    6.5 creedmoor

    Just curious
For those that are loading for their Creedmoor in the 140-147gr range, what are the powders that go best ?
    2209? and the like maybe.
    Anyone use H4831?

Hodgdon superprofrmance or RL26 give really good speeds and shoot well and it seems easy to get.

    Thanks
Never thought of superformance. RL26 is a bit scarce I believe.

Just watch superprofrmance if you load to a max in the summer.
You can push a 143 eldx to around 2800 fps with it from a 20"

H4350 (2209) & RL16 would the typical powders for 6.5CM, both in the same burn rate bracket. Have had great results with RL16

I have had good success with both RL16 and RL26... ten sold the 6.5 before powder got scarce... new 6.5 should be here by Christmas.

Superformance works great. Its available, it meters well, it usually gives you a gain in speed with less pressure signs. But if you do get up there you can reach max loads very fast. And it is temperature sensitive, no problems if you keep your rounds cool in summer, like an insulated bag if your in to some of the long range shoots. 44.7gns gave me very consistent loads and an average speed of 2750 with 147's. And I could go faster, but why change something that works.

Same here. Use 2209 for reduced target loads and RL16 for hunting. Have RL26 which gives the fastest velocities but don't see the need to shorten barrel life for an additional 75 fps.

I see that Workshop Innovation has the Winchester 6.5 Staball in very limited amounts.

Nar no luck today not for lack of trying……there’s one black bitch up there that come doe season she’s the first to get it……..

Right load data: Please note that this load worked in the below rifle. It might not work in yours.
    Rifle: 6.5 man bun sako
    Bullet:120g Barnes TTSX
    Primer: Remington 9 1/2 LR
    Powder: N555
    Start load: 40.3gr
    Max: 44.6gr

We found the best for his rifle 42gr.

Here’s the data from the manufacturer!

    Hope this helps.
