    6.5 grendel hornady black

Anyone ran the above over a chronograph per chance? In shooting a howa mini at 20". I know it won't be the same but ball park idea would be much appreciated.
    Cheers

2560. Just looked through last session. Howa 20in. Stainless barrel with DPT suppressor. I got pretty much exactly the same from the sst's too.

Same results here but was surprised that the Black group was considerably better than the SST's.

Interesting. I might have to check my 100 yard sight in. I took a guess at velocity and took a shot at the gong at 331 yards and hit low. Made the adjustment to hit the centre. Then worked backward to get the velocity that to match that drop. Came out at 2425fps. Need to check zero again and also check at other ranges. Surprising if it is that slow if you guys are all getting a lot faster.
Accuracy was good tho. First shot centre low. 2nd 3rd in middle. 6 inches of wind dialed.

Yep sure have. Have shot Reds and fallow to 400 yards, 400 yards is pushing the envelope with slower kills, but out to 250 to 300 yards they do just fine. I shot a big-bodied Red stag at 230 yards, just behind the shoulder, and there was a fair amount of internal damage.

Here is a pic of the exit on a fallow shot at a bit over 100 yards.

Sweet looks good. Looks like it still has 1000ft lb at 400 and the eldm should be a good match for the slower velocity

Had another crack to and used the sigs and applied ballistics to validate. Came out at 2413. 20" Howa mini stainless. Man I must have a slow barrel. Validated out a long way too. Is that usual to have a big variation in barrels?

I sighted in at 100m, then checked elevation and drop at 50m, then 200m, then went for the 300m gong.
Once I reversed the math, I was only getting about 2300-2350.
20in Standard barrel, DPT Overbarrel, 6.5g Hornady Black.
Will be testing the on game next week.

Three shots from three to the left of my hand.
Then I thought I would really stretch the legs and shot apeacock at 738yds. Took 2 shots but got one.
Furthest I have ever shot by a long way.

@Freezer I don't have a dot but a very similar modular suppressor. Total length is 1100mm. Feels fine
