147 M for longer range expansion, 143 X for everything else
143 ELDX or Nosler 142 LRAB for me.

Or a Nosler 120Gr BT, depending on whats on offer.

140eldm. One bullet for everything
You don't need a flash bullet for the 6.5x55 because they have a high SD and penetrate like hell and even in ordinary bullets the BC is pretty good. 140 ELDM sound good. I haven't used them in mine because I still have plenty 140 Amax left - they are pretty much the same bullet. Ive never lost an animal with mine and Ive shot lots of all sorts with it. Marvellous caliber - I don't know why I stuff around with the 5 other calibers I own really.
+1 to Tahr, High SD, great BC on most pills. I sacked many a deer with my 16" Tikka 6.5x55 using 140gn Amax's. Even liked the 120gr Pro Hunters too... Why o why did I sell it...
Cheers fellas , will give the ELDM a crack , still trying to get my hands on some Lapua brass as well , Everyone is waiting on stock
Gonna be hard to find source of ELD-M projectiles these days.
Don’t overlook the 129 grain hornady interlock. Excellent game bullet at Swede speeds
If you can't get Lapua brass Norma is pretty good in the 6.5x55. Its softer but you aren't running high pressures anyway. Its what I use now in my one.
Have a heap of 6.5x55 Lapua brass in storage.
143 ELDX is accurate and kills well.
143 grain ELD-X, Lapua Brass and Reloader 22 works brilliantly for me. I agree with @Tahr it should be my go to caliber too as it does everything plus more than my 308, 7x57 and 25/06.
