Thread: Which 6,5mm / .264» bullet is reccomended for Tahr?

Yep, Had exactly the same issue with AB's in my 280AI, And Maunga Teitei had the same problem on his latest trip with them too, which is why he's looking for a different projectile for next year.
You can debate how tough or not Tahr are, and it might be relevant in the open east coast country. I dont know. But in the bluffy, scrubby west coast stuff a matter of a few seconds can see a Tahr unretrievable or lost. Which is what happened.
Ive shot and seen alot of Bull Tahr shot too. Ive seen them go straight down, and ive seen them run a considerable distance and take multiple shots. Given that my experience will be no different o anyone else, I conclude some of you are remembering your good experiences, and forgetting the not so good.
