About LinkBacksBoth are over bores and will probably have a short barrel throat life. Even the 6.5-284 has a bit of a rep for eating the throat out with string shooting. 260 Improved is a very efficient case size for the 6.5 bore. However some of us like to hotrod for the fun of it and there aint anything wrong with that aye
