Thread: 6.5x55 & 143 eldx with RL26

Hey guys, would someone be able to provide the minimum and maximum loads for 6.5x55 using 143 eldx with RL26.
How much of an advantage is RL26 over 2209? As I already have 2209?
Will be running them thru a Tikka.

Stick with 2209.

What do you get out of 2209? I have used 45.5 gr 2209, norma brass, 143 eldx in my tikka 6.5x55 for a few years and get about 2750fps and sub moa most days. Pretty happy with it. Ive not had any obvious issues with it in my rifle. I think it represents pretty much a maximum load for me recoil wise and might experiment with loading it down a bit. If I remember correctly it was accurate as at any loading I tried. Ive not tried any other powders tho.

If you want herbs, N560 is the go to. Start at 47 and stop wen you see pressure signs and back off .5grn. You should be around 2750/2800 fps with a 22" barrel. Be conservative and work up.

They are not max , but TAKE CARE when people offer advice on loads .
Tikka T3 - 18 inch barrel .
These loads and rifle shoot better than I can .

I use 49 grs of AR2213SC with the 143 gr ELD X for 2754 fps very accurate out of a 20 inch barrel in a T3 X. Load lower and work up this load is fine in my rifle but may not be in yours.
