Hey team,
Have just purchased a 6.5x55 running a 22" barrel with suppressor...
Looking to run both Sierra 120g & 140g SBT, anyone got some load info I can work from...?
Thanks in advance

interested to hear myself. I have a little thing for these but apparently they are under loaded from factory.
Mind you am a bugger for not wanting to reload so maybe not

I am away in Auckland for a few days but happy to share what I have played with, using both CG with suppressor and new Tikka unsuppressed. You can see where I live. If you have 2209 powder, pills and primers, happy to show you how to load your own, using my press and at my place. BTW I have stuck with Hornady projectiles but can’t be that hard to do Sierras.
I'll have a look when next home using 2209
if his name is Craig, he has to be a good guy.
I ran 46.2gr 2209, pushed the 143 ELDX to 2745 or so.
It's a fair bit over book max so work up to it
I have had very good accuracy with 46.6 grs 2213sc and 139 grain Lapua's in 23" and 30" barrels 2217 is too slow burning
Loads depend very much on the model and vintage / action type of your rifle. Modern SE loads will be over safe pressure in most older actions. Speer manual lists safe leads for old and new actions seperately. Phone me if you like Craig.
Ruger M77 Hawkeye, very strong action as my gunsmith has found recently, 22" barrel and I believe a 1:8 Twist, might give you a call when I get back home @Woody
