    Yes. Measuring to the ogive is the ideal, but it is much easier to measure OAL, which means assuming a batch of projectiles are identical. Measuring to the ogive means each rifle has only one measurement for all projectiles, whereas OAL varies with projectile type and model.

    It depends on your lead in. Is your rifle standard or a custom chamber. When i had my barrel done i asked for an OAL of 3.050" and thats what i got. I seat back .02" from that. Too easy
