    64gr Sierra Gamechangers in .223

    Hey lads,

Has anyone used the 64gr Sierra TGK (gamechangers) in a .223 with varget or benchmark 2?
I have both powders and keen to see if they will shoot in my rifle(s). But just struggling to find any data on these projectiles with either of those powders.

Appreciate any help and/or data you may have.

    Cheers

Surely there is data for sierra 63grn semi point...it's nearly as old as I am... You be starting lowish n working up so it would be fine. Highly doubt the game changer will have more bearing surface so all things considered should even out.

Cheers Micky. I had wondered about just using that data and working up.
The only concern was around the different shape of the bullet. The game changer has quite a long boat tail, whereas the 63gr sp has a flat base. Would that be any cause for concern? (Loaded to mag length)

The opposite I would think as the 63 should have longer bearing surface so be harder to push= more pressure.

Seat with a bit of jump or as long as mag length will allow (whichever is shorter).

Use a starting load for a 63-65gr pill, work up until you reach a sensible velocity and check there are no pressure signs.

    Boom, done.

Sorry can't help with the two powders you mentioned, but 2206H has worked well for me.

Perfect. Thanks fellas. I've loaded up a number of rounds starting low and will see how we go on paper this weekend.
    Cheers
