Who's shooting a 6XC with 105's and what speed are you getting?

Get hold of Looseunit, im pretty sure he had a good one of these, he should know
somewhere HERE they mention the sierras 107 gr. it may help you out.
Yeah, I had a look at that thanks xring.
The issue I have is that all the load data I have found on line states that a charge of roughly 39grns of 2209 will give a velocity in the range of 2950-3000fps. But my barrel is up around the 42-43 grns required for similar speed.
Still no pressure signs but it's got me thinking. Is my barrel super slow or are other people dreaming about the speed they are getting?
different batches of powder and components ?
shorter barrel?

308Win One chambering to rule them all.
Barrel length and projectile is same/similar but I take your point about powder batches.
Seems an excessive speed differential for a powder batch though doesn't it?
primers?
Does seem a lot yes.

I'm getting 3105fps with 43.2gr 2209 from a 21" barrel & outstanding accuracy.
Quickload predicts 2995 with same load and 105gr Berger VLD, but I've not tried it.
Can run some predictions for you if you want? Just PM.
I've often found USA sourced data to be way ambitious when tried here. I've often wondered if the altitude & air density has quite some influence on the results they are seeing. Either that or they smoke the good stuff
You are only getting higher velocitys than a 243 by running the 6xc case at a higher pressure remember. It's like a 6.5x47 vs a 260. The xc and x47 cases can handle more pressure without damaging the brass. It will however eat the barrel. Any 6mm with 105's @ 3k is going to chew a barrel reasonably quickly.
LJP, in Colorado we have both the good stuff and thinner air for higher velocities. Don't be jealous because we are high and can get higher.
