If the 162gr Amax's shoot well in your gun I'd bypass the ballistic tips & SST's etc in favour of these. I found 140gr BT's run out of puff about 500 yards with very average on game performance where the 162 Amax's were still sledge hammers out to about 700 yards on small to medium sized game.
Rifle's in at the shop getting looked at at the moment as I was struggling to get it to shoot anything well. I'm hoping that the amaxs will work when I get it back, just wondering what other people are using as not a whole lot of projectiles under the 162g amaxs that appeal to me. Fingers crossed sierra start making 7mm tipped match kings, I'd be pretty keen on giving those a go too.
Amaxes should work, 41 gr2208 had them grouping best

What sort of speeds you getting? And out of what barrel length?
Yes mag length, 19" barrel was in the 2500 range, the 140gr nosler bts have worked very well for me as an alternative have shot a lot of animals in a lot of scenarios and never had an issue from 10-500 yards. Placement is key
