    7.62 x 51 CETME

anybody know much about this round?
    other than this Wiki https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7.62×51mm_CETME

I cant really find much other useful info about it, specifically the case pressure?
I want to make up a "safe" round to use in a old rifle,

Does the rifle have any stampings as to whether it's A B or C or anything like that?

Aaah gotcha. Still, sounds like something you don't want to stuff a 308win into by accident

The 7.62 CETME was a 7.62x51 round which uses a 125 gr projectile . The main thing to remember is that the 7.62 CETME it was never adopted as a "standard " round . And they used the 7.62 x 51 round with the 147 gr projectile .
I would say the confusion regarding the Spanish round , the 147 gr one. as a NATO round would be around the fact that Spain was not a NATO country, so that technically it could not produce a "NATO" round no matter how much it resembles NATO specifications .

    Almost like tracer.
Very easy to see with slo-mo.
    What frame speed was that?

120 FPS. I shot the video using an iPhone 5S. @Glycerine just noticed that it looks as if you have a toe for a thumb.

you could see it at normal speed as well, very easy light hitting load, kids could handle it! (I assume i don't have any i can experiment with)
