7lrm load development

Being in my possession for a few weeks now daylight hours make it hard this time of year and a young family keeps me busy on the weekends so a day off was in order.

Promising speed with more to go .

Tried both fed 210 and fed 215 as powders right on my cross over between the two of 70gns and intresting enough it was like a switch up to 70gns 210s were the winner and the 215 shinned after 70.

Back to the range in the morning before work as my last 5 rounds and a new box of projectiles were all jammed . Teach me for not checking and a lesson to always check between boxs the previous box was seating 20thou off and is also some of the original 180eldm from years ago the latter box is the latest lot im not sure if they have tweaked the shape or its just standard hornady junk.

Regardless they shoot well would have put 20 shots into an inch today.

Get thisnrange trip out of the way in the morning with the last of my ladder and will shoot some groups.

Its being a work in progress the local guys driving the project have being nothing short of legendary with the rework to regain and keep our range cert .
It was closed for a period of time/shut down by the powers of who ever but the remedial work has happend certs gone threw and constantly getting tweaked be a small handful of gents keeping it moving wilsons wanganui have being a driving force were bloody lucky . The carpet has made a world of difference the mtn bipod didnt like the bare ply

2225 works better than 2217 in my 7prc so probably behave similar/same in your 7LRM

@6.5 CRD it went brilliant in my blaser mag to far more accurate than the 26 load never got a speed off it as it was on the eve of lock down but it would have being within 50fps id say

Rl26 does give a little more speed than 2225 in my 7prc with the 175 eldx, right around 50fps. Doubt the deer care its 50fps slower though & 2225 is alot cheaper & easier to find haha.

Yip neither here nor their at high speeds found a good node at 3100 time to shoot some groups and validate

@Tim Dicko rough estimate mate not measured the saum does the same my 5 shot ladder to pressure check where I thought it would land with a preempted 3 shoot group loaded where I wanted it was about half inch for all 7 shoots 150 rounds threw the saum now with 3 different projectiles load developed and 125 of the shots would be animals other 25 3 different loads . SAUM will always be my favorite im using 180s in that aswell now at 2880 it seems even smaller now after playing with the long action but this LRM is simply epic 3.3 kg ready to go pretty good for a big long action fat barreled magnum 180s at 3143 and still a pleasure to shoot the action has really impressed me the stocks the same as my saum which are my personal favorite both with leupolds they have a similar feel to get behind . Its not what 7mms my favorite its simply 7mms my favorite
