    7mm 162 eldx or m?

Finally loaded up the last of my amax's have been running them at moderate speed (2800). I only shoot to a max range of 400M, shooting mostly reds. What will work best for me?

Eld-M are the replacement for Amax. Eld-X are updated Sst. I use Eld-M in my 7mm08.

Either will work at those velocities but the ELD X will penetrate better than the match bullet. We are recovering a few ELD X bullets lately and they are mushrooming well and staying together which aids in the penetration.

The eldm is exactly the same as the Amax, but with the new tip materiel.

If Amax has been working well I'd use the eldm.
