    7mm prc

Anyone with a 7prc, how did you find factory ammo? What velocities were you getting? I know every rifle is different but how’d they group? And likewise, what are people getting with their hand loads?
    Cheers

Is that with the 175 ELD-X? How many rounds have you chucked down? I’ve been reading supposedly it’s supposed to heat up a bit after a few rounds. What length barrel do you have? Sorry for the 20 questions

Cheers mate. That’s not bad for only 40 rounds with that length. Will be interesting to see what velocities can be achieved with some other ammo once it becomes available.

I was getting 2850-2900 with the first lot of hornady factory out of a 20” barrel, sub moa easliy. The higher speeds were giving some stiff bolt lift. I hit pressure at 2850 with 180 eld-m hand loading. Federal seems to be on the money, perhaps they have better powders currently..

I’ve read people talking about this in the states, I read a lot of people over there were getting really inconsistent powder quantities in factory Hornady loads even. Curious to try those federal stop. That’s great velocity still for 20” having said that

Yeah Hornady dropped the ball on the powders and speeds
They talked about on a podcast that they couldn't get enough of the top powders and had to get what they could at time of loading.

They should have had the powder and speed on the box or at least have open data to what batch numbers go together with the same powder / speed.
