    7mm rem mag loads

Ok I'm about to start loading for my Sako 85 rem mag I start with 162 ELDM, ADG brass and 215 primers what's everyone's go to powder.
I'm not interested in RL26 or any of the vihtavuori powders and they will be impossible to get.
Barrel length will start at 24" but may get cut to 22".

ADI 2225 or 2217, 2225 better for 162 pills or heavier. RL25 also very good.

I use 2225 in mine, with the exact same combo.

I am also doing a development, have some 2213sc and some 2225 to try out, will let you know what I find. Tikka 22 3/4 with a DPT magnum suppressor with the muzzle brake attached.

Used some 2209 with some 139 grain SST to good effect.

I've had good results with 2213sc and 2217 with the 162gr projectiles.
Currently using 2217, adg brass and federal 210 large rifle primers

If you have RL19, 22 and or 25 lying about they will all give you loads for a 162 gn proj at or about 3000 fps. Other wise the ADI options above 2225, 2217 plus 2213SC.

I don't have any of those slower powders which is why I posted I don't want to end up buying 4 different powders

I'm running 162 AMAX in Norma brass, Fed 215. Previous owner provided load data using 2225 which shot well at ~2960fps. I didn't have any 2225 so used Retumbo (same powder as 2225 apparently, just repackaged for Hodgdon). Using the same powder charge I'm getting ~2980fps.

    71-72gr of 2217
Or 73-74gr of 2225 was always a winner in the couple I’ve had, with 162s

2225 was always a touch faster

I have done load dev for 162gr SST with 2213sc and 162gr ELD-X with 2217. I found that I could get excellent accuracy with both, however the 70.5gr 2217 and ELD-x combo flew far faster, pushing 2910 feet per second consistently. The 2213sc was slower by a couple hundred fps which was to be expected. Case fill was a bit of a concern with 2213sc for me, there was a lot of left over room in the case. Recoil is also a factor worth considering. I get a sharp boot with the 2217 load.

lower velocities are to be expected with 2213. Any load that gives close to 3000 fps with a 160+ gn pill is lively. You're right, you can feel the change in dynamics when your in the zone.
