Going to try the ELD-X 162 and see what happens - will start with 66 and work up.

I run 67.5 gr with 162 Amax in RP brass, have to reduce by .5-1gr in Norma 300 saum brass. 67.5gr in the RP is still pretty warm, 68gr was bright ejector stamps on the case.

I had good results using SGKs and 2209, 55 - 60gr (work up to it obviously) some pressure signs at 70gr . Am now using RE19 with 160NABs. Have tried RE17 which was ok too but good luck finding that.

there was some good advice on earlier threads - guys were seeing quite a difference using Rem vs Norma brass. Some of the hotter 2217 loads quoted above are probably based on rem brass. Start low and work up.

A long throat (allowing long ammo over all length) in a saum makes a decent difference to powder capacity, pressure and velocity.
