Probably going to go for a 16.5inch proof in 30cal, and run a 300saum as per Kelton advice. After playing with grt, I should get a 155g vld berger moving at around 2888fps with rl17 and a 16.5inch proof barrel, an 18inch for 30cal wild get it going roughly 2925. So not much gain for 1.5inch less length through the bush. I also prefer defiance actions. They feel great, and I wanted a short action, because I have a short action carbon stock sitting here with bottom metal and magazine to fit. And I already have 2x long action defiance.
