    7mm08 tikka all round load for a starter

    Hey guys - not for me i swear!

    A mates just purchased a tikka 7m08

    Whats a good safe accurate alround load for it?

    140gr BT - 42/43gr 2208.

    Should easily shoot under an inch with out much drama.

    +1 for the 140 BTs...good accuracy and knockdown

    If its chopped and suppressed, use 2206h rather than the 2208 but both will work

    2206H is faster burning than 2208 and goes well in shorter barrels.

    i use 139 sst with 42gr 2206h factory length under 1/2 inc no worries for me

    Is 120gr better for short range? I'm trying to decide on a projectile for mine I shoot 5m - 400m.

    5-400m you will have reliable success with Sierras 140g Game King projectiles.
    A big fast bullet beats a little fast bullet every time
