I went with 2217 with the old 162 AMAX pills, 22 in bbl & getting 2900 FPS and groups 0.6 - 0.7 moa (slightly compressed load)
Would like another 50+ FPS, might try RL22 or 23 which faster burn rate than 2217 but slower than 2213.

Yep 2217 goes well with that weight range. I run a full case of 2217 with the 162 Amax and it shoots tight at 3,005 from a suppressed 22" tube.

2217 best...but also loaded up to try N560...no more rings on my reloads (2217 quite compressed load).

Cheers man that chart shows 2213sc as less compressed and faster with a very similar burn percentage?

I've tried most of the ADI powders but now use RL22 less compressed and more speed.

In that QL data i see you have the COAL at 2.820" with a 162gr. That will be severaly reducing the powder capacity. Im running mine at a COAL of 2.965" with 67.5gr of 2217.

Yes quite right. Trying for a mag length load. A COAL of 2.965 reduces pressure, but surprisingly little (probably trade-off with being closer to the lands?) difference with velocity due to the extra case capacity. So while with reduced case capacity they are still right near where a longer COAL can get to in terms of pressure/velocity. Here is the QL Tables for max pressure load of 65k psi and 2.960 COAL followed by the 2.820 COAL table:

You can see why I got really excited about N570! But the Norma factory cases can only hold about 66gns of N570.

Load development with VV N560 today. It is a hot day about 24 degC but in my current condition feels like 30!. Warm enough that the rounds were warm to touch. Breezy a bit too. Norma brass, 162gn ELD-M, 2.818 COAL, CCI LR Mag primer. Lab Radar and ext mic. Rem Model 7 factory barrel, DPT suppressor, March2.5-25x52 in Talley mounts.

    62.0gn: 2976fps av - 53fps ES - 27.7 SD - 1"
    62.5gn: 3028fps av - 3fps ES - 1.4 SD - 0.65"
    63.0gn: 3057fps av - 13fps ES - 6.8 SD - 0.85"

My shooting was off today, just one of those days. Not helped by mirage so all groups could be better.

63gn showing ejector mark and slightly stiffer bolt lift so that is max...had 63.5gn but will pull them.

62.5gn looks fantastic. So will load up some more and try ELD-x next time.
