    Think 2213 might be at the wrong end of the scale for the 7x57. I use 42gn's 2206H/4895 with the 140 SGK for 2700fps. Very decisive kills on deer, tahr and pigs.

    Wont get enough 2213sc in the case to do anything useful with a 140gr. Even 2209/H4350 is often a compressed load with a 140gr range pill. 2208 or 2206h will be a better option.

    W760 for the win. Use a magnum primer with it.

    760 is best, then probably 2209 next.

    Another vote for w760, best speeds of anything I tried.
    Have always wondered what hogdon superformance would do in it but couldn’t find any data for a starting point so never tried it

    2213sc is only really good for long barrels and medium to heavy bullets. I use it for long-range in my 26" .30-06 with 168 grainers, getting 2950 fps and sub MOA groups with moderate pressures. It might work in a long barreled 7x57 with 175 or 196 grainers.

    In this order for me;
    Win 760
    Norma 204
    AR2209

    Had no issues using F210's with 760.

    Mine loves RL19. Interarms Mk X, 21in barrel. A 140- or 150-grain bullet with Reloder-19 and 49.5 or 50 grains will get you accuracy with velocity of around 2,850 fps.

    I'm using 150gn Remington CorLokt SPs. I'm max 250m shooter and hunt for the pot. Very effective load, not a lot of meat damage.very accurate hunting load.

    Also I was advised on this forum to use Magnum primers with RL 19. I did extensive load tests with 3 shots each of mag and regular primers, everything else the same, full ladder from min to max charge in .2 gn increments. Difference tended to be nil or slightly lower velocity with the Magnums. Not sure why. Accuracy seemed no diff. Stuck with regular.

    I run H414 in my 7x57R, and h4350 (48g) in My m70 7x57, Tried 4381 and didn't get the speed of 4381, or 414,
    One day I will try a 120gr Barnes with Varget,

    Greetings @Titanium,
    Depending on what your friend is expecting I wouldn't be too quick to write of AR2213SC (H4831SC). Hodgdon lists the powder for the 140 grain with a start of 47 grains and a compressed load of 49.5 grains for 2,719 fps. Granted this is a low pressure load and faster powders should give more velocity when worked up closer to 50,000CUP but 2,700 fps loads will not bounce off deer in spite of what you may read elsewhere.
    Regards Grandpamac.
