    With 162gr A-Max's and a 24" barrel? I doubt it.

Talked to him yesterday and 2850 with the A-Max's was what he said I think. That is sufficent for me.

    Howdy,

I have a 7x57AI reamer and the go and no-go gauges. The chamberings pretty rare in NZ, the only other reamer I know of is with Status Guns. Barrel is 24" screwed in a Sako 75 LA. I've only just started playing with load development and have found a sweet spot at 2725fps with the 162 amax and 2209, so yep she's pretty much a warm 7-08 for the time being. I've run out of time before I head away for a hunt but when I’m back I'm keen to find a load round the 2800 mark for the amax, that was the plan when I started down the 7x57AI path so will take Gregs advice and try 2213. During a ladder test 2850fps was achievable without pressure signs I couldn't pass up the accuracy at 2725fps . 2900fps and there was an extractor mark, stiff bolt and the overriding self preservation feeling kicked in...

I'm not sure if the reamer would clean up a factory 7-08 chamber?

Good point Wildman, I had presumed a 140g projectile was being used.
