H414 or RL19 are options for 7x57 with 140 gn pills if u are going to buy more powder.
Nosler load data lists Varget (2208) for 120 gn pills (max 45.0 gn, and most accurate 43gn) but they don’t provide data for Varget in 140gn pills. The usual rule of thumb is reduce load by 1gn for each 10gn increase in bullet weight. Soooo .... in theory max might be 44gn.
But start low and work up. In my experience with other calibres book max published tends to be conservative, but safe. Start low and work up for safe loads your rifle.

I used 2208 in my 284 which is pretty similar from what I understand. I thought 2206h would be too fast?

I used Norma 203 for a few years until I ran out, then tried 2208, worked fine but a bit slow. So changed to 42gns 2206H for 2714fps, and accurate. Out of an 18" barrel.

I ran 49gr of 2208 and from what I gather was doing over 2700 from a 19" bbl and suppressor

I'm no use for exact data as my chrony is broken but I've found 2209 works best in mine. I reckon try sourcing some more rather than changing.

For what it's worth I'm running 46gn 2209 with 156gn norma oryx. Deadly setup.

Ww760 or H414 is the powder for the 7mm Mauser for both accuracy and velocity.

    Belmont Arms in Whanganui are selling W760 & W748 @ $40.00 per 500g + delivery.
    760 a good option for the 7x57 140g bullet.

For years all I used was AR2206H & a Hornady 139 gr BTSP in my old Winchester Featherweight rifle

Accuracy was great, not sure of the speed but it killed everything

A real classic calibre with a great history from Karrimojo Bell, The Boers, the American-Spanish War and even a long time following here in NZ as a great cartridge

Quick question on 150gn pills in a 7x57.
What powder is giving best results from a 22” barrel ?
    Got some 2207, 2208 & 2213 or am I better to get some 2209 or W760?

W760 or H414 gives great results with 215M primer.
