Working up a new load due to the unavailability of the 77gr Sierra, who's using the 80gr eld-m in their 223 and what recipe have you had the most success with.

Gun Works have 77gn TMKs.
Experience. What you get just after you needed it.
I've just sorted a load in my tikka .223 22".
Adi brass, cci 400, 80gr eldm @ 2.435" OAL
24.6gr Ar2206 (old from a .308 target shooters bulk barrel, not sure if it is 2206H)
2900fps
Definitely over pressure so don't use this data!
Probably 62,000psi according to GRT software with my measured inputs.
Nice accurate load.
<0.4moa @100m
First shot after 100m zero check with the magneto speed at 365m was dead center POA.
Next 4 shots were straight to 575m in 0.6moa

Thanks @Roarless20 gives me an idea at least, pretty excited to give these a go.

I modified my tikka mag to take the long OAL which is 0.015" off jambing the lands. Otherwise the 80gr pill is over half in the case and taking up alot of case volume and reducing the velocity alot.
Thats the beauty of the 77TMK. They work with a standard T3 .223 mag. They are designed for the short magazine gas guns.
@Roarless20 that load of yours is ball park upper limit with 2206H and 80 grn. Getting up there though, but my load is similar with 80grn Targex.

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing, and right-doing, there is a field. I will meet you there.
