Anyone have a safe start load in 2208 / 2206h. ?

Cartridges of the World give max loads of 49 grains of 4895 with the 170 grain and 45 grains with the 198 grain for 2,570 and 2,450 fps respectively. I would probably start at 38 grains (80% of 48 grains an interpolated load) or less of AR2206H with the 180 grain and work up if you want to. Get someone to check the rifle for you first.

Hi, Ive just started to reload some 8mm for my Lebel. Im using 44grains of 2206H with 180 gram projectiles . I think is a safe area yto start . My issue is that OAL varys by nearly 10mm . If I use 75mm there is not enough projectile in the shell . 65.5mm from other sites seems too deep . Ive thinking in the middle so 70mm which is to the bottom of the neck / top of shoulder . Can anyone please tell me Im on the right track or not ? much appreciation in advance .
