Thread: 8x58R brass

I got 100 privi 7x57R from h&f in palmy, I had been watching it for quite some time and got it for half the marked price after some arm twisting, "who else is going to buy it".
I use a set of standard rimless 7x57 dies for reloading with no issues, both cases are the same oal and have identical dimensions. Not that I'd ever bother to try but It should theoretically be possible to fire the rimless version in the rifle but extraction would need either a rod or knife blade.
I should add mine is a brno 201 break action single shot not a bolt like yours
I've successfully turned 8x57 into 9.3x 57 rather than pay the extortionist price for ammo or cases, if you like I could send you some fired 7 rimmed to fire form or run through an 8 mm due, 100 will last me for ever so I can spare a few
