I cant find my experimental cases I made as it was a couple of years back, but it stands to reason as the head sizes are different, I just dont remember noticing it. I remember after doing it deciding that 9.3 from 06 cases were perfectly usable, but I never reloaded them again after that.

I have a box of 100x Lapua 9.3 brass. With the low pressures of the cartridge, and the amount of buffalo I shoot, they should last me out. I made some 9.3 out of 30-06 brass just to see if I could do it.

Has anyone used the PPU round noses on deer so I know what to expect?

Yes numerous when I owned one, all sub 100m. Never recovered a projectile and never lost a deer. Was effective and economical IMO. The 270gr speer hotcor were also very good performers and seemed to cause more damage.
