It's been 7 years since i comment on this thread, I've added a Sako 9.3x62 and a fair double rifle in 9.3x74,
loads have changed, still use 60gr varget in the Husky,
the Sako Bairvian 20" gets CFE.223 62gr with a 250 accubond for 2580,
BLC-2 at 62gr with a 270 gr Speer for 2510 fps
R-17 at 65gr with a 250 gr accubond for 2650fps, the two last loads, are same point of impact at 200m, both these loads are around 1.5" or less for 5 shot at 200m, fantastic.
Now playing around with cast bullets, at around 1800fps in the double rifle. the double rifle is proving difficult to regulate better than 2" at 60m, and due to thin barrels heats up real quick (2 shots), recoil with the 9.3x74 in a 6lbs 2 oz double is brutal,
truthfully every load i have tried, in the two 9.3x62 have shot very well, both rifles are light, the husky is 6lbs empty peep sights, the Sako scoped is just at 8lbs,
I can load harder, but don't see the point in increased recoil for no real gain in ability,
Great killing caliber, doesn't blood shot, half the front shoulder,
