It is a 9 1/2 twist. I've settled on the Speer 270gr as the 285 is on the edge of stability. The Norma 285 is more pointed and a flyshit longer, so not quite as stable as Hornady or PPU. I have only shot the 270gr with one loading and had about 1 1/2" at 100m.

It feeds really well in the Howa mini. I bought a chamber reamer and chambered the barrel myself, also a die reamer to make my own sizing die.

I think a .358 would be a good option, you need to be able to get the big heavy projectiles.
