    ADI , 2208, 209, 2217

Saw about 3 lbs of ADI 2208, 2209, and 2217 at a garage sale .The reloader had passed away so i picked them and got a few other things as well .

Now that i have the powders, what are they known to be good for ? who is loading using these powders ? I am aware of powders they are close too like varget , H1000 etc , but i am interested in loads that work really well in their own rights not so much as replacement powders .

    Any comments ?

    cheers

I use only ADI 2209 in my 6.5x55’s. 2208 is faster burning - .308 and others. Search ADI website for suggested cals/starting points.

    2208 is Varget. Works for .223, .243, 7mm-08, and .308. At a minimum.
    2209 is good for .243, 6.5s (most of them), .270,.280, .30-06.
    2217 is H1000.
Save this for overbite cases and magnums 7mm RM and .300 WM.

If containers aren't still sealed PLEASE move heaven n earth to confirm they contain what they say is in them. Granual size n shape fairly distinctive with adi powders.just need to look at someone else's side by side.

Luckily , they were still sealed and the lids hadn't been taken off . So i am confident they are as the Bottles say they are .

2217 was showing great accuracy promise when it did load dev for my 6.5prc. I only had a small amount to try and it was a bit slower than super performance so sticking with the SP for now.
