What powder, charge, pills & COL are you running. Quite a few on hear with plenty of 284 experience that may be able to comment.

Id say you are right, original charge would have been up near the max then add in different gear, different room where loading.
If the brass was only neck sized previously then i have FL sized taking the shoulder back .002” would this change things? Put 3 shots over crono while there and they were down around 5fps. These were 3 rounds that had .025 more jump than normal load.
