I see you are putting on lay buy so cost is obviously a factor so .308 will be cheaper to shoot if you don't reload as you can get cheap steel cased ammo for it which means you will shoot it more and this will allow you to get to know your rifle better and make you a better shot/hunter.
Nothing wrong with a 7mm-08 as a calibre though.

the ammo costs the same i have already looked at that ... but what i have noticed is that there is alot more 7mm08 ammo than there is 308 and apparently that it is caused but all the crap going on in america atm

You can buy barnaul etc steel cased stuff cheaper for practice for the. 308 that is way cheaper, the brand stuff like hornady and federal costs the same for both.
