Been following the development of it for some time. Beautiful piece of equipment.

Quite interesting that simply running a nylon brush through the neck makes for far more consistent seating. Shame they didn't show cases that had had the necks dipped in graphite.

The amp boys are very clever thats for sure!
When I am resizing cases that have been annealled I can tell if there is a rogue case in the mix by how it feels through the press arm.
That is also the case if I miss dipping in graphite.
Still a lot of people don't know the graphite secret and comes as a revelation when shown!
I know my amp annealler makes a difference as it takes the neck tension back to a consistent tension every time and that's the name of the game.
I don't think the press is for all shooters but benchrest boys and extreme long range (2k+) are definitely the ones to benefit from these.

I have seriously thought about the press but I don't have any of the specialized seating dies.
I have talked to Alex and keen to pick his brain for options to get said dies.
It would be great if he made these as well.
I do have his annealler and wouldn't be with out.
Are you thinking annealer or press Zimmer?

Wilson seating dies Andy, you can get them from Robert at Workshop Innovation.

Had the annealer since mid last year.
Alex AMP is only 25 minutes drive from me but I haven't been in for a chat with him since the end of last year.
Given the cost of his press I don't think I'll be going there. My style of shooting is no longer long range.
I have like @ebf the KnN arbor press with force gauge and are happy with what it tells me.

Alex's press is interesting to see the force differences with eg neck lubing. However, he seems happy to share these gems so I don't see the need to set up what is virtually a mini laboratory on my crowded reloading bench.

I did lust after 21st Century's hydraulic seating press for a while (not as flash harry as the AMP) but went off the boil given the cost.
To get one of those would probably cost similar to the AMP.

Where did Don get to with his 6.5X55AI project?

    Greetings All,
To be honest I am a little flabbergasted. The computer even pulls the handle for you. I think @andyanimal31 sums it up as best for the ultra precision and ultra long range shooters. Not essential kit for bush hobbits though. At least I already clean the inside of my case necks.

I would love this press although I don't need it. Bluetooth enabled too. Very cool.

Wash your mouth out, of course you need it. It will boost your self worth and social standing.
