    Annealing 44/40 reloads

    Question
Is it worth annealing my 44/40 loads ?
Starline brass, Hornady XTP projectiles, AR2205
I don’t currently load Lead projectiles
I anneal my reloads in 223 & 243 every third firing.
What do you CAS shooters do ?
    Cheers
He nui to ngaromanga, he iti to putanga.

You depart with mighty boasts, but you come back having done little.
Sounds like a typical hunting trip !

I've never annealed the 44/40 cases. In fact never annealed any pistol cases

Waste of time, if you crimp them properly you will loose cases by neck splitting no matter what. The Lee collet seems to be the best crimp for these and the 38/55
Frogfeatures and Seventy Six like this.
