Got a bunch of 416 remmy cases that really should be annealed.
Got no gear at all for this.
Anyone about that can assist with this (obviously local is easier)?
beer tokens or reasonable fee perfectably acceptable.
Also at some stage probab;y need trimming but cross that bridge when i come to it

Used this guy a few weeks ago. Good service cases came back nicely done.

Or just use a candle & wet towel, or a drill, socket and propane torch.

Haven’t tried either method myself, but I’m keen to give them a go - especially as 7mmWSM brass is neither cheap nor readily available.

Anyone had much experience and success with either?

Any thing flame annealed forget it.
I have just read the book by Alex Findlay who invented the Amp annealler.
The myths of flame annealing have been busted wide open with science.
End of the flame annealed sorcery!

Flame annealing still has its place.
Not everyone can afford an AMP.

As I said, science has proven it is a waste of time .
You can afford to send your high end brass to someone that has one.
If you want yours done get it to me and if I have the pilot will do it for free just to prove my point.
You can feel the difference when seating bullets, all the same and smooth.

    Good read.
Henry Ford also said his design was the best thing.
Don't believe all that the seller says.

Flame annealing has its place and always will.
It's been used for centuries for heat treatments.

    Have you read this?
The reality is flame cannot repeat the exact same annealed results that induction with the Aztec mode can do.
    Flame is redundant.
I have mates that have sworn by flame until they have used the amp.
None of them own flamers any more.
The integrity of Alex is backed up by science and the people that endorse his product through their own experience..
    There is quite a list!

Drill and socket were invented and used and continue to be used before all the fancy machines. Sorta like you cant kill deer with a 303 because you need a gun with a carbon fibre stock etc. It is not rocket science just careful common sense.
