I like it, but I can't help but think the addition of a car window wiper crank system added to the ''slide'' would make it so much better, as it would take the guess work out of the time spent in the flame?

Sounds like a good improvement KJ.

BTW I'm using a car window wiper motor and reduction box for the rotary action.
