Was looking at getting some ammo for my 308. Has anyone used Belmonts 130gr and/or 150gr ammo and what where your thoughts. I hunt with a tikka 308 16inch barrel suppressed, ranges I shoot are 0-300 metres. Cheers.

I use 130's in my 308, 18" suppressed barrel
Very accurate...better than my handloads
Have only used on Fallow, and all under 50m they have all dropped right there. Seem to expand well, couple of neck shots have just required a little work with the knife to remove head!
I rate them
They reasonably priced, buy a packet and see if they work in yours
Cheers

I also shoot the 130's In my 14.5 kimber and they are accurate and have effectively killed a few red deer for me.
I have tried the 130 HP, 150 SP and 155 Scenar loads. All in a 20" Howa lightweight with a Sonic suppressor at 100m.
The 130's are devastating on goats, referred to as 'hand-grenades'... Shot 1" or slightly over.
The 150 SP work well on deer and are accurate. 1" or less.
The 155 Scenar are good, a bit hard for goats, great on deer to about 400m. Very accurate, shot just under 1" at 200m.
I would love to try the 100gr Lapua HP load they have.
I have tried there 270 Win, 6.5x55 SE, 338 LM, 300 BLK and 223 Rem.
All of their ammo is as good as my starting handloads. I support them because i'm local and they are Kiwi.
No I don't work for them
tried them a few years back and they are great.
I have used the 150 round nose 130hp and 110hp.
The 130hp shot very very well in every 308 I tried them in, they are a light very frangible projectile and work very well on goat/fallow sized game but a bit of caution and picking your shots ie slipped in behind the shoulder or a neck shot is advisable on bigger red deer.
The 110 was extremely frangible not that fast and not that accurate in the rifle I tried it in, I only shot two goats with this load.
The 150 round nose seemed to do the job as a bush load.

308Win One chambering to rule them all.
130 gr work very well in my 308. I can still break clay birds at 300 m with a bit of drop compensation. Shot a small pig with it.
I would look at trying them in 6.5 x 55 and .270 though I couldn't get a response by email when asking about my of these. Does it state mv on the packet?
